First, are you an apple?
Four markers show up over and over:
Your shoulders sit wider than your hips. Your bust is full and carries weight up top. Your midsection is your widest measurement through the torso. Your hips and legs run lean by comparison.
Three out of four means load up on boots with the fur because you my dear are an apple.
Not sure? Take four measurements. Shoulders, bust, waist, hips. Fitted clothes, fabric tape, parallel to the floor. Apple shows up when the middle leads and the hips fall behind.
What most advice gets wrong:
Almost every guide out there tells an apple shape what to hide. I however do not style around a problem, because there is no problem here. There is a set of proportions, and every set of proportions has a shortlist of cuts that work with it.
Your legs are lean. Your bust is full. Those are not things to manage. They are the two best assets in the outfit, and most women with this shape have never been told to lead with them.
The Golden Rule:
Draw the eye up to your neckline then down to your legs and keep the middle clean.
That is it.
Every specific recommendation I make for an apple shape comes back to that sentence. Low and wide necklines instead of high and narrow. Sleeves with movement instead of sleeves that grip. Your waist placed high, just under the bust, instead of belted across your widest point.
Once the logic clicks, you can walk into any store, look at a rack, and know what is worth your time before you touch a hanger.
The full breakdown lives in The Body Type Blueprint. Every neckline, sleeve, top, trouser, jean, skirt, and dress that works for an apple shape, plus what to walk past and why. All five body types are in there at the same level of detail, along with height and arm adjustments, what to say to a tailor, and my fitting room checklist.
Or if you want it applied to your closet specifically, Silhouette Savvy - The Consultation and I will build the formulas around your life, not just a category.
